“ This place own by a very kind former guide offers authentic Zanzibar cultural life style through village visit where you get to see traditional Zanzibar homes, farming style and lifestyle. As part of the visits, the guest get to learn to cook Zanzibar meals, get dressed like Zanzibar locals, dance to Zanzibar music. They also have sunset view in a dau enjoying Zanzibar music. It's an ideal place to visit even with kids. Once in the village, you can support the local projects e.g women weaving baskets, others breaking coral for decorations e.t.c ”

The atmosphere is serene and beautifully surrounded by nature, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. We enjoyed a delightful meal with a variety of local dishes that were both fresh and flavorful. The setup was unique, with an inviting and comfortable dining area that enhanced our experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed. After our meal, we took a walk to a small, peaceful beach nearby to watch the sunset. The beach was quiet, with no crowds, offering us a truly tranquil and private moment by the ocean. Overall, The Flora Zanzibar is a hidden gem, offering delicious food, great service, and a beautiful, secluded spot by the beach for a perfect escape. “ We had a great trip doing the Jahazi adventure with tha Flora Zanzibar/Palm tours. It was a great day from start to finish and our Guide Abdul was amazing. We arrived at our start point and were promptly placed on the Dhow. It was clean and comfortable and well stocked with fruits and soft drinks. The included entertainment of an authentic fiddler was a lovely touch. He played music as well sailed to secluded sand banks with crystal clear water and were able to swim and snorkel. It was heaven. We then went for a beach lunch of fish BBQ. It was delicious and ours included 3 whole lobsters. Could have asked for better. We did have to leave slightly early for another arrangement but it was well managed and timings where perfect Thank you guys 10/10 would recommend ”

“ I have recently returned form a holiday in Zanzibar. I wanted to experience the culture and learn about the lifestyle and history of the people. I searched many websites before coming across the Unguja Ukuu Village experience. This was undoubtedly the best trip of the holiday. To start the tour we visited a school, followed by a village tour. We met local people and received gifts, including a handwoven basket and a traditional colourful kanga. Next was the lunch at The Flora where we picked our own cassava leaves for making a delicious Swahili meal. The setting was relaxing and informal while we listened to Tarabu music played by a three piece band. After the wonderful and plentiful meal we watched the community women doing their handicraft, weaving palm leaves to make baskets and also making jewelry. I was gifted a bracelet with my name, making it something I will treasure. The day was finished off by visiting a local fish auction. The whole day was amazing and the memories will stay with me forever. I would recommend this trip to anyone wishing to experience a day of total immersion into the Zanzibar community. Nothing was too much trouble. The lunch was primarily seafood which my husband enjoyed, however I asked for a vegetarian option and my preference was delicious. I cannot rate this experience highly enough, please visit. ”
